The Tocqueville Lecture SeriesThe Tocqueville Lecture Series invites scholars, professionals, and civic leaders to present on the ideas of liberty and equality, as they relate to other concepts important in the founding and continuation of American government.
The lecture series is supported by a generous grant from the Jack Miller Center and Alabama Humanities Alliance. It complements the Tocqueville Society at Jacksonville State University. The Tocqueville Society is a student organization that examines core ideas of the West and American political thought. In past years, it has examined topics such as, the American Dream, virtue in modern life, and freedom of speech.
